General Skills Clinic - Saturday, April 7
- Grade 1/2: 1:30 - 3:00 pm
- Grade 3/4: 3:15 - 4:45 pm

Pitching Clinic - Saturday, April 28
- Grade 3/4: 1:30 - 2:40 pm
- Grade 4-7: 2:40 - 4:00 pm Fourth graders may attend either session, to balance attendance.
- Pitchers must provide a parent-catcher to catch them at this clinic.

These clinics are open to all registered NGSoftball players. Players will visit numerous skill stations with their teammates working on hitting, throwing, and fielding. Please bring your glove and sneakers. Attendance is optional, but all are encouraged to attend.
Sunday Night Pitching Clinic for NEW BEGINNERS @ Newton West Suburban YMCA
This 4 week session is intended for grade 3/4 players who are new to windmill pitching. There is only room for 8 pitchers so please sign-up now if you are interested. Unfortunately you must sign up for all 4 classes. All pitchers must supply their own adult catcher. To keep the cost as low as possible Doug will run this class without Brandice our amazing PFP instructor.
CLASS: 12LSP SP801 "NEW BEGINNERS"
DATES: 4 Sundays - April 29, May 6, 13, 20. No PFP instructor, sorry Doug only.
TIME: 6:00 - 7:00 pm
LOCATION: Newton YMCA (2nd floor basketball court).
COST: $45 YMCA member; $70 non-member

All NGSoftball coaches are invited to "monitor" one or more of these classes. it is an excellent way to learn the fundamentals of windmill pitching.
2011 - 2012 Pitching Clinics w Planet FastPitch
This is our 6th year providing pitching clinics with Planet FastPitch @ the Newton YMCA. Brandice Balshmiter will return as our instructor.
We make every effort to group similarly skilled pitchers in the same hour. This is in the best interest of the pitchers and the instructor. Therefore our terms Level 1, 2, 3 are relative to who signs up for that particular session. Classes are limited to 8 pitchers.
Register with the YMCA for the class you feel is appropriate. I will notify you if a class change needs to be made though this may not happen until the Monday following the first class of the session. If a class change needs to be made and it does not work for you, you will receive a 100% refund.
Dates Level 1
Session 1: 7 Sundays - September 18, 25, October 2, 16, 23, 30, November 6
Session 2: 7 Sundays - December 4, 11, 18, January 8, 15, 22, 29
Session 3: 7 Sundays - February 12, 26, March 4, 11, 18, 25, April 1
Session 4: for NEW BEGINNERS typically grade 3 & 4: 4 Sundays: April 29, May 6, 13, 20. NO PFP instructor, Doug only.

Prerequisite
All pitchers new to our pitching clinics at the YMCA. If you have attended pitching clinics with another instructor and are new-to-us, please contact Doug to discuss. As pitchers in this group advance they will be invited to attend the "level 2" session.
Fees
1. Payable to YMCA - $80 YMCA members, $120 non-members.
2. Payable to Newton Girls Softball - $105 (Newton residents); $245 (non-Newton residents)

Prerequisite
Previously attended a minimum of two 7-week sessions at the YMCA. Pitchers will be placed in Level 2 or 3 based on their age and the relative skills of the collective pitchers.
Fees
1. Payable to YMCA if 11 week session - $130 YMCA members, $190 non-members; if 12 week session - $145 YMCA members, $210 non-members.
2. Payable to Newton Girls Softball if 11 week session - $275 (Newton residents); $495 (non-Newton residents); if 12 week session - $300 (Newton residents); $540 (non-Newton residents);
Other DETAILS:
- All pitchers must supply their own catcher, preferably an adult.
- If there is only enough interest for two sessions they will be held at 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
- Unfortunately we can not offer these classes on an a la carte basis.
- Newton Girls Softball subsidizes the fee paid to Planet FastPitch for Newton residents (the NGSoftball portion of the fee) so we can provide Newton pitchers with outstanding instruction at a reduced cost. Pitchers not residing in Newton are welcome to attend but must pay the non-subsidized fee.

Summer 2012 Babson College Girls Softball Camp
New for 2011, the Babson Summer Softball Camp introduces a more competitive softball camp for ages 10-16. This camp is designed for female athletes who want to fine-tune their fast-pitch fundamentals. Areas of particular focus include pitching, hitting, bunting, fielding, positional play, catching and throwing.

Summer 2011 Garden City SUMMER Softball Camp
Popular local summer softball camp run by Lauren Baugher, NNHS varsity softball coach, members of her staff, and varsity players. The program's aim is to improve the fundamental skills of softball including hitting, bunting, pitching, catching, infield, outfield and base running. Campers should provide their own glove and bat.
